The Paine is a private nonprofit organization that depends on the generosity of donors, members, sponsors, and volunteers to sustain its mission. Charitable support helps us care for the historic estate, gardens, and collections while also funding exhibitions, educational programs, and community experiences. Every gift helps ensure that the Paine remains a vital cultural resource now and for generations to come.

Annual Fund

The Main Entry and Stairway.

Support the full scope of the Paine’s annual activities. This includes the continued care of the historic mansion, art collections, and gardens as well as the presentation of outstanding exhibitions and educational programs. Annual Fund gifts are fully tax-deductible.

Education Fund

Support quality learning experiences for children about historic architecture, art, and nature. These gifts also help ensure that children of all economic backgrounds are able to participate in programs. Education Fund gifts are fully tax-deductible.

Garden Fund

Support nearly four aces of botanical gardens that surround the historic mansion. Donations of $25, $50, and $100 support the annual plantings and care of the gardens. Gifts of $150, $300, $600, and $1200 are recognized with a plaque in a selected container throughout the season, and may also honor a special person, birthday, anniversary, or other occasion or entity. Volunteer

Prefer to give your time? Volunteer opportunities at the Paine are wide ranging, and are open to high school students and older. Teach visitors about history, art, and nature as a docent, roll up your sleeves to work in the gardens, or help with fun events like Festival of Spring. Volunteers also enjoy attending events, workshops, and lectures designed to educate, inspire, motivate, and celebrate.
