Membership gifts support the care of the historic Paine estate and its exhibitions and educational programs, including free admission for thousands of students each year.
Beginning May 18, the Paine is introducing a new integrated online reservation and membership system. These enhancements are designed to make visiting and supporting the Paine easier, more seamless, and more convenient for our Members. The Paine is introducing a new integrated membership and reservation system to create a more seamless and convenient experience for members and visitors. The new system better connects memberships with reservations, making it easier to access benefits, reserve visits, and manage memberships online.
Yes. Memberships and reservations will now be managed entirely online. Renewal reminders, confirmations, and membership information will be sent by email rather than regular mail. Printed renewal notices, and acknowledgement letters with membership cards will no longer be mailed.
A digital system allows the Paine to simplify and improve the member experience while reducing administrative costs and paper use. The new system also provides more immediate access to membership information and reservations.
Physical membership cards will no longer be mailed. Members will instead use their digital membership information when reserving visits and accessing benefits.

Yes. Because membership communication, confirmations, and renewal reminders will now be sent electronically, members must have a current email address on file.
Most membership benefits remain the same, including free general admission throughout the year, early reservation access for popular events, gift shop discounts, and invitations to programs and events. Some benefits have been adjusted as part of the transition to the new system.
Some special presentations that were previously included with membership will now be offered at a discounted rate for members. This change primarily applies to certain high-demand seasonal experiences, such as Rooms of Blooms and evening candlelight tours during Nutcracker in the Castle.
Yes. Members will continue to receive free general admission to the mansion and gardens throughout the year. Some special presentations and premium experiences will now be offered at discounted member pricing.
Yes. During Nutcracker in the Castle, members will continue to receive free daytime general admission for self-guided tours. Some evening experiences and special presentation times will be offered at discounted member pricing.
Over time, the Paine’s seasonal experiences have grown significantly in scale, demand, and cost. The updated structure helps maintain strong member value, support the long-term sustainability of these presentations, and align membership benefits with the increasing costs associated with these experiences. Members will continue to receive preferred pricing and advance reservation opportunities.
Guest passes are being discontinued as part of the transition to the new reservation and membership system. The new system is designed to simplify membership management and create a more streamlined and consistent experience for members and staff.
Yes. Previously issued guest passes may still be redeemed for general admission visits. To use a guest pass for a reservation, members should call the Paine to make the reservation by phone. Guest passes may also be presented at the reception desk for a walk-in visit.
