The Paine is a nonprofit organization that relies upon the generosity of people and organizations for support. An endowment provides approximately one-third of the Paine’s annual funding, and the remaining two-thirds is raised through donations and fees.
If you prefer to give your time, the Paine’s enthusiastic volunteers contribute in countless ways throughout the entire estate. Whether you are a people person or a behind-the-scenes type, we have opportunities to synchronize with your interests and schedule.
Volunteer opportunities at the Paine are wide ranging, and are open to high school students and older. Assist with a membership project, use your computer expertise, or spearhead a steering committee. Teach visitors and groups about history, art, and nature as a docent, roll up your sleeves to work in the gardens, or help with fun events like Festival of Spring. These are just a few of the ways you can share your time and energy with the Paine!
Volunteers also enjoy attending events, workshops, and lectures designed to educate, inspire, motivate, and celebrate. For questions or to learn more, please contact Annika Holland at (920) 235-6903 or aholland@thepaine.org. Complete and return the volunteer application to get started.
When you make a donation to the Paine, you help fund the museum’s broad and vital scope of educational programs, art exhibitions, garden displays, and historic preservation. Gifts can be designated to support particular aspects of the Paine as well. Learn about the most common ways to give below.
Support the full scope of the Paine’s annual activities. This includes the continued care of the historic mansion, art collections, and gardens as well as the presentation of outstanding exhibitions and educational programs. Annual Fund gifts are fully tax-deductible.
Support quality learning experiences for children about historic architecture, art, and nature. These gifts also help ensure that children of all economic backgrounds are able to participate in programs. Education Fund gifts are fully tax-deductible.
Support nearly four aces of botanical gardens that surround the historic mansion. Donations of $25, $50, and $100 support the annual plantings and care of the gardens. Gifts of $150, $300, $600, and $1200 are recognized with a plaque in a selected container throughout the season, and may also honor a special person, birthday, anniversary, or other occasion or entity. Gifts to the Garden Fund are fully tax-deductible. For questions about specific container locations and availability, please contact Annika Holland at (920) 235-6903 ext. 24 aholland@thepaine.org.
