Guidelines for Visiting the Paine During the COVID-19 Pandemic

To help ensure the safety of our staff and visitors, please adhere to the following guidelines when you visit.

Reservations

Reservations are required to visit the Paine Art Center and Gardens, including the mansion and gardens. Group sizes are limited to 9 people or less.

Face Masks and Coverings

We request that visitors wear face masks/coverings while inside the mansion. (Children ages 2 and under do not need to wear a face mask.) Please plan to bring your face covering with you. Face coverings will not be provided. If you are unable to wear a face mask/covering, we ask that you delay your visit until the risk of the pandemic recedes.

Arrival Time

Please arrive as close to your reservation time as possible to avoid congestion at the mansion entrance. Guests arriving early may need to wait outdoors, as the Paine does not have enough lobby space to allow for social distancing.

Hand Sanitizing

We ask all visitors to use hand sanitizer when entering the mansion and again before touching handrails and other surfaces.

Physical Distancing

We ask visitors to stay together with your group and maintain physical distance of at least 6 feet from staff and other visitors.

Drinking Water

Please be aware that drinking fountains at the Paine are out of service. If you need drinking water during your visit, please bring bottled water with you. (Beverages other than water are not allowed in the mansion.)

Public Seating

Visitor seating inside the mansion is limited. The available seating is routinely disinfected. .

Length of Visit

Please plan to spend approximately an hour or less inside the mansion to ensure maximum capacity of the building is not exceeded.

Illness or Exposure

If you or someone in your household are not feeling well, please wait to visit the Paine until you and everyone in your household are feeling better. If you have reason to believe you have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, please plan to visit after the appropriate isolation period.

Public Health Recommendations

We encourage you to follow current public health recommendations as they may apply to you and your visit to the Paine.
