SPARK! - Paine Art Center and Gardens

January 26, 2022

1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

About SPARK!

On the last Wednesday of each month, the Paine hosts a free program for people with memory loss and their care partners - SPARK! Together we enjoy activities related to art, gardens, and current events or exhibitions at the Paine.

SPARK! welcomes care partners to stay actively engaged in their communities while experiencing art, culture and nature in a comfortable, small-group environment with specially trained staff and volunteers. The programs are not reminiscent, nor do they rely on recalling memories, but rather focus on observations, conversations, and creative experiences.

Facilitators are vaccinated.

Winter Inspired Haiku Writing (Virtual Program)

January 26, 2022
1:00-2:00 pm
Held virtually via ZOOM

Due to the Paine being temporarily closed and a rise in COVID-19 cases this month’s program will be virtual.

Join us on ZOOM to explore how different artists explore the theme of winter and then write a collaborative Haiku with us reflecting on our own winter experiences. If you are interested in attending this program virtually, please reach out to for the zoom link or to be added to our SPARK e-mail list.

Temporary Closure

The Paine will be closed to the public January 11–February 18, 2022.

The Paine requires that all visitors wear face masks while indoors. (Children ages 2 and under do not need to wear a face mask.) Please plan to bring your face covering with you. If you are unable to wear a mask, we ask that you delay your visit until the risk of the pandemic recedes.
