Festival of Spring is a free outdoor event featuring the Paine’s annual Spring Plant Sale and more than 100 vendors of original art, fine crafts, plants and garden supplies. As a great source for a wide selection of perennials, the Paine’s Spring Plant Sale offers thousands of “tried-and-true” plants as well as new and hard-to-find varieties. The festival also includes fair food and live entertainment.

While you're here for Festival of Spring, take some time to enjoy the mansion and stroll through the beautiful gardens, which feature 15,000 blooming tulips and spring flowers.

Paine Members receive early admittance to the Spring Plant Sale at 8:00 am.

Parking is available along the nearby streets, as well in the Paine's parking lots. The parking lots are located on Elmwood Avenue and on Algoma Boulevard, just north of the mansion. Martin Luther Church, just north of the Paine, and Algoma Boulevard United Methodist Church, just south of the Paine, offer ample parking with a requested donation. Handicap-accessible parking is available along the east side of Algoma Boulevard, just north of New York Avenue, as well as in the Paine's parking lot on Algoma Boulevard. We encourage you to obey all city parking signs on surrounding streets.

To make your shopping experience as easy as possible, the event features an Express Pick-up Area. Once you are finished shopping at the Festival, simply place your purchases in a nearby holding area along Algoma Boulevard, and then drive right up to the spot and load your vehicle.

We suggest that you bring your own wagon or cart to easily transport your purchases around the festival grounds. Some wagons are available.

Paine Members are admitted an hour early to the Plant Sale, at 8:00 am, to receive the first selection. Members also receive a 10% discount on plant purchases from the Paine's Plant Sale throughout the day. Memberships are available for purchase at the gate for immediate early entrance and discounts. To become a Member now, click here.

As you shop, eat and enjoy the entertainment, just leave your purchases in one of the convenient holding areas until you're ready to load up your car.

The Paine's friendly staff and volunteers will be on hand in the plant sale area to answer your questions and to assist you with making the perfect new selections for your own successful garden.

The Paine will offer a free and fun craft project from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, geared for children ages 5-12. The activity area will be located near the entrance to the plant sale.

In addition to the Paine's plant sale, the Festival of Spring features more than 100 booths of garden suppliers, landscapers, jewelry-makers, potters, candle-makers, painters, woodcrafters and much, much more. Booths are open beginning at 8:00 am.

The Paine's Plant Sale is at the corner of Algoma Boulevard and Congress Avenue and features thousands of "tried-and-true" plants as well as new varieties. The Paine's Plant Sale is well-known as having the widest selection of perennials in the Fox Valley. The Plant Sale is open to the public from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and proceeds support the Paine's gardens.

The Corner Market at the intersection of Elmwood and Congress Avenues offers even more vendors of a wide variety of items, including booths selling home decorating items, ethnic imports, garden items and gourmet foods. Booths are open beginning at 8:00 am.

It wouldn't be a festival without live entertainment throughout the day!

The festival also features a great variety of food options, including popcorn, hot dogs, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, egg rolls, smoothies, ice cream, coffee, espresso and more! Bring your appetite and enjoy dining in a seating area in front of the entertainment.

Festival of Spring raises funds to support the ongoing care of the historic Paine property and beautiful gardens.
