Fiser, for a special series of educational programs and activities
planned at the Paine Art Center and Gardens. Each presenter will
offer differing perspectives and unique insight on the impact and
significance of the monumental exhibition, Seeing
Ourselves: Masterpieces of American Photography from George Eastman
House Collections now
on view through October 11, 2009. As well, visitors will enjoy
this special opportunity to learn more about the historical accomplishments
and influence of America’s greatest photographers.

Gallery Talk with Phil Weston
Join photographer Phil Weston of Weston
Imaging Group for an informal gathering in the Paine’s Main Gallery
as he offers insight into the photographers that influenced his
own career. Weston will also highlight master photographer and
Oshkosh native Lewis Wickes Hine, and his instrumental role in
American history.

A Precious Print with Suzanne Rose
Children and families are invited
to visit the Paine’s Family Discovery Gallery and meet artist-in-residence
and fine art photographer, Suzanne Rose. With her help and some
cuttings from the Paine’s gardens, participants will compose a
very special photographic print that includes flowers, grasses,
leaves and the hand that gathered them. The program is offered
on a drop-in basis throughout the day.

150 Years in Photography with Curator Laura Fiser
Join Curator of Collections and Exhibitions, Laura Fiser, for
a special lecture in the Paine’s Great Hall as she explores more
than 150 years in photography and highlights several of the most

Gallery Talk with Don Stolley
Join photographer Don Stolley of Stolley
Studios for an informal gathering in the Paine’s Main Gallery as
he points out his favorite works by the country’s greatest photographers
and offers insight into the technical achievements and aspects
of highlighted works. Stolley will also discuss the role of women
photographers over the past century.
All programs are free with paid admission to the Paine. Free for
