11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Family Discovery Gallery
Do you like to doodle or draw? Sometimes, do you write poems or keep a journal? Maybe you like to glue pictures in an album or tape an interesting leaf to a page. Today’s project will make sure that you are ready for any of the above. Meet Kate Baumgart who can help you find the perfect stick from the Paine’s Shade Garden to top a twig sketchbook. Then she will show you how to layer paper for pages and add a card board cover, all held in place by a small piece of nature provided by a tree.
Family Programs are offered on Saturdays in the Family Discovery Gallery on a drop-in basis from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The programs are geared for children ages 5-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No pre-registration is required. Programs are free with admission to the Paine (free for Paine Members and Big Brothers Big Sisters participants).
