Painting with Yarn
November 7, 2015
12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Family Discovery Gallery
Inspired by the yarn painting of the Huichol Indians of Mexico, today’s project will use the vibrant colors and textures of yarn to add accent and interest to your artwork. First, you start by making a simple drawing with pencils or markers. Then you use yarns and glue to outline and fill in the spaces. Even your initials can turn into a colorful work of art!
This program is generously sponsored by Bergstrom Corporation.
Family Programs are offered on Saturdays in the Family Discovery Gallery on a drop-in basis from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The programs are geared for children ages 5-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No pre-registration is required. Programs are free with admission to the Paine (free for Paine Members and Big Brothers Big Sisters participants).
