Member Preview Day: Paintings by Craig Blietz

February 10, 2017

11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Paintings by Craig Blietz features new works by Wisconsin artist Craig Blietz. From his Door County studio, Blietz focuses on animals and rural imagery to create masterful paintings that celebrate the dignity and quiet beauty of agrarian life. The exhibition will feature a selection of new works by Blietz, reflecting the inspiration he gleans from the serene landscapes and noble depictions of animals created by nineteenth-century French Barbizon School artists, many of whom are represented in the Paine’s permanent collection.

Paine members are invited to preview the exhibition on Friday, February 10 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a gallery talk by Craig Blietz offered at noon.
