Gallery Talk by Craig Blietz

May 13, 2017

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Join us for a gallery talk by special guest Craig Blietz, the artist of the exhibition Paintings by Craig Blietz. From his studio in Door County, Wisconsin, Blietz creates masterful paintings of farm animals and rural imagery that celebrate the dignity and quiet beauty of agrarian life. This exhibition features a new body of work by Blietz, Close to the Forest, reflecting the inspiration he gleans from the serene landscapes and noble depictions of animals by French Barbizon School artists, many of whom are represented in the Paine’s collection.

This gallery talk will be held in the Main Gallery of the Paine Art Center and Gardens. Program is free with paid admission to the Paine (free for Members). No reservation necessary.
