Cycropia Aerial Dance at UWO

October 16, 2017

6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

The community is invited to come and see Cycropia Aerial Dance perform at UW Oshkosh. The free performance will happen in Horizon Amphitheater, an outdoor space between Reeve Union and Horizon Village. Free parking is available in Lot 15 on Algoma Blvd. across from Reeve and next to Blackhawk Commons, and Lot 34 on Elwood Avenue across from Polk Library.

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Cycropia combines modern dance, athleticism, and the magic of defying gravity in their dynamic performances. The aerial dance troupe performs in fantastical costumes using single-point trapeze, bungee, lyra, and aerial fabric suspened from a custom steel apparatus.

This peformance is appropriate for people of all ages. Families are encouraged to attend. No reservation is required. Lawn chairs and blankets for seating are recommended. In the event of rain, the performance will be held in the Music Hall within the UWO Arts and Communication Center at the intersection of Elmwood Ave. and Vine Ave.

The performance is presented by ArtsCore, a partnership between UW Oshkosh and the Paine Art Center and Gardens.
