Artist in Residence


 
   
  OCTOBER ACTIVITIES

   
 
Kim Cridler is an artist-in-residence with the Paine Art Center and Gardens throughout the summer and fall of 2006. The culmination of her residency is the creation of a new permanent sculpture, titled bloom, for the Paine’s US Bank Garden. In addition, Kim is participating in several educational programs providing opportunities for the community to meet her and learn about her artwork and creative process.

Kim Cridler’s residency is supported by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.  The educational programs are generously sponsored by US Bank.


Member’s Reception

Paine members are invited to a special cocktail reception celebrating the new sculpture by Kim Cridler. Meet the artist, ask questions, and hear her thoughts while enjoying complimentary fine wine and hors d’oeuvres amidst the Paine’s gardens. Free Family Day

Saturday, October 14, 2006
11:00 am–4:00 pm

Families are invited to come and have fun making art with Kim Cridler and other artists. Children will create their own take home art projects inspired by the new sculpture. Admission and activities are free to the public and no reservations are necessary. Complimentary refreshments will be served throughout the day.


Sculptures by East High School Students

Tuesday, October 10 – Sunday, October 15
11:00 am–4:00 pm

Kim Cridler is working with students from Oshkosh’s East High School and assistingthem in creating their own sculptures. See the results of their creativity on display at the Paine. This project is generously sponsored by US Bank.
